This Privacy Policy explains how Flownaught ("we", "us", "our") handles information across our website and products, including flownaught.com, Hearthward (at hearthward.flownaught.com), and Histari (together, the "Services"). Some products collect different information than others; the product-specific sections below describe those differences. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.
Hearthward (game)
Game progress stored on your device
Hearthward saves your game progress in your browser's local storage on your own device. This data stays on your device unless you choose to sign in for cloud sync.
Account & cloud sync (optional)
If you sign in with Google to sync your save across devices, we receive a basic account identifier and profile information (such as your email address and name) through Google's authentication, and store your game save associated with that identifier. You also choose a display name ("champion name") used on the in-game leaderboard.
Gameplay and usage data
We may collect anonymous gameplay and technical information (such as expedition outcomes, general device/browser type, and basic analytics) to understand how the game is played and to improve it. This is not used to personally identify you.
Advertising
Hearthward is free to play with unlimited play and shows no ads. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad networks in the game.
Histari (app)
Histari, our allergy tracking app, handles health-related information (the reactions, symptoms, and notes you log) and has its own dedicated policy covering what it collects, how it's stored, and the forecast providers it uses. Please see the Histari Privacy Policy. Histari contains no advertising.
How we use information
- To provide and operate our products, including saving and syncing your progress or data.
- To show Hearthward's leaderboard using your chosen display name.
- To understand usage and improve the Services.
Third-party services
We rely on trusted third parties to run the Services, including Google (Sign-In and Firebase hosting/database). These providers process data under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
Cloud saves and leaderboard entries are kept while your account is active. You can reset your Hearthward data at any time from the in-game Settings; if you are signed in, the reset syncs to the cloud as well. Data you enter in Histari is retained and can be managed as described within the app.
Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.
Your choices
- Play Hearthward without signing in to keep your save on-device only.
- Reset your game data in the in-game Settings, or manage your Histari data within the app.
- Manage ad personalization via the links above.
- Control or clear cookies in your browser settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
